Sitges itself is a mere 30 minute car or train journey to the popular historic city of Tarragona and 20 minutes to Barcelona. It is also very close to the centre of the Cava industry in Vilafranca. The Penedes Wine Region is also a short drive away. Cordoniu, the famous Cava making family, offer free tours in English every day. The well known Benedictine Monastery, Montserrat is a wonderful day trip. There are several way-marked routes through the Garraf and through the wine regions. Completely renovated and has been finished to a very high standard and includes underfloor heating, air-conditioning, plasma screen TV, DVD player and USB connection (iPods and MP3s). Everything provided including sheets and towels. Airport pick-up provided for small extra fee, so no need to rent a car.
